Understanding the user

User research: summary

The user interviews were focused on what is the attitude towards healthy eating and what is their knowledge of nutrition. I conducted an unmoderated usability study and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for their needs. A primary user group identified through research was adults who want to improve eating habits and deepen nutrition knowledge. This user group confirmed initial assumptions about our target users. They want the motivation to stay healthy and to make overall better choices in everyday life.

With the app designs completed, I started work on designing the responsive website. I used the Nutrition sitemap to guide the organizational structure of each screen’s design to ensure a cohesive and consistent experience across devices.
